Functional Capacity Evaluations

A Functional Capacity Evaluation is a standardized test that assesses physical, physiological and functional measures. At MSI, the FCE test is performed by a licensed physical therapist that is certified to perform this specific battery of tests. There are many benefits to an FCE test at MSI Physical Therapy.

The FCE test provides objective data that focuses on a client’s capabilities and not their medical condition, disability or impairment. It identifies appropriate and realistic expectations for return to work. An FCE matches the client’s physical capabilities to the essential functions of their job. It also addresses the possible need for modifications or adaptive equipment at their job.
